Erik & Suzanna at Riviera in Tukwila

Erik Brown is a regular member of Seattle band Ek Balaam, and has studied with the famous Middle Eastern Master Percussionist Suhail Kaspar. Erik has not only studied the rhythms of the Middle East but their history and how it all fits with the music. He has played for many notable Northwest dancers including Saqra, Sabura, Jaleh, Zeeta, Nabeela El Shalimar, Shamandura, Hasani, Zorina, Mahasti, Bablylonian Ensemble, Phaedra Nicholle, and many more. Projects include workshops, video, CDs, and shows with John Bilezikjian, Americanistan, Sabura, Alexandra, Jeff Oberman, and Entropic Advance.
